Yeah, this show open rips off "The Fifth Element." And it's done in a low-tech cartoony kind-a-way. But it seemed appropriate for TechTV's take on showcasing Japan's edgiest and most current anime series.

Ultimately, the goal was to capture anime's more visceral qualities: the kinetic motion, exploding color palettes, the stylized mecha.
